Mark Newcomb is the Teton County Commissioner. Born in Teton County, Mark studied Geology at Carleton College and Mandarin Chinese at Nanjing University, and earned a Master’s Degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Wyoming.

A former Owner of famed Exum Mountain Guiding, Mark served for many years as a climbing and skiing guide, ski patroller and avalanche course instructor in the valley.

A local citizen with a global pedigree, Mark serves Teton County balancing tradeoffs between growth, housing, community character and conservation. He also has technical expertise in environmental economics, spatial analysis, and Geographic Information Systems.
